Clothing
The Iroquois would often wear skirts with a never-ending circular design, much like a celestial tree. The would use beads to decorate their clothing and jewelry. They wore earings made from glass beads and threaded on porcupine quills. During religious ceremonies and dance routines, they would wear masks. These masks hold religious relevance for the Iroquois, and they are totally against selling or displaying these masks.
Shelter
The Iroquois built large houses guarded by palisades, which is a defensive fence. The Palisades were made to keep out intruders, they were eighteen feet tall and made completely out of wood. These longhouses were divided into sections, one section per nuclear family. A nulear family includes one mother, one father, and their children. The Longhouses were constructed using a wooden pole framework, covered in bark. They had two doors and no windows. The doors were at each end of the longhouse, And there were skylights for smoke to leave and sunlight to enter. They planted large gardens around their houses. Growing foods including corn, beans and squash.
