Transportation
Although they prefered travelling over land, the Iroquois used elm bark or dugout canoes when they went on fishing trips. Since there were no horses in North America until they were brought by Europeans, the Iroquois would use dogs as pack animals. During the winter, they used snow shoes and dogsleds to travel over the snow.
